Baby Steps

Last night and this morning John has been more talkative... more alert... and more animated. There are some issues with confusion and memory. He doesn't always appear to know where he is or what year it is, but he has consistently recognized his daughters. This could be related to the swelling or the narcotics, so its not necessarily an indication of brain damage.

We all need to understand that John is doing good, and we all need to realize that "doing good" means he's alive, he can talk, and he's apparently not lost control of his movement. This is a time to appreciate little improvements.
